TMJ & Jaw pain
TMJ & Jaw pain
Jaw pain, tightness, clicking, teeth grinding, or difficulty opening your mouth comfortably can affect eating, sleeping, training, and everyday life.
TMJ dysfunction can also present alongside headaches, temple discomfort, and persistent tension through the neck and shoulders.
At Harkoa, we look beyond the jaw itself. Tension and restriction through the jaw, neck, shoulders, and surrounding soft tissues can influence how the TMJ moves and functions.
Treatment uses slow, targeted hands-on techniques to address muscular tension and restricted tissue around the jaw and surrounding areas. Working deliberately through these tissues helps reduce guarding, improve movement, and restore more comfortable jaw function.
Our approach focuses on restoring movement first, then building better function. Where appropriate, treatment is supported with targeted mobility and strengthening exercises to address contributing movement patterns and reduce ongoing muscular tension.
Our goal is simple. Reduce discomfort, restore comfortable jaw movement, and help you get back to eating, sleeping, and moving without constantly noticing your jaw.
